POWER RANKINGS BY POSITION GROUP

Welcome to the 2023 Fantasy Football season you sickos. Thanks for playing and go fuck yourselves. Here’s my ranking of how we drafted every skill position group (QB, RB, WR, TE). As always, not up for discussion.

Running Back:

  1. Mike

  2. Derek

  3. Sully

  4. Steven

  5. Q

  6. Andy

  7. Brian

  8. Phil

  9. Ethan

  10. Darrian

Mike’s combo of Saquon and Ekeler is fucking broken, he might even survive a Saquon injury (especially with a sneaky good grab of Jalen Warren for when that bum Najee loses his job). Myself and I find ourselves near the bottom with our 0 RB strategies, which is expected, and Ethan is ranked low as well due to the risk of a THIN RB room outside of Bijan, who is not a sure thing himself. Derek probably has the best depth at this position, and Q and Sully deserve respect for having a couple of the potential RB1 so who even cares about depth. Steven’s RB room has sneaky potential as well.

Wide Receiver:

  1. Phil

  2. Brian

  3. Andy

  4. Mike

  5. Darrian

  6. Q

  7. Ethan

  8. Sully

  9. Steven

  10. Derek

Maybe a bit of copium putting myself at #1 (because it REALLY needs to work out for me), but I don’t think anyone’s top 2 WRs match up to Davante and Tyreek. Brian’s WRs are a close second though, and his WR3/FLEX options do look better than mine. Derek is probably not true #10 but I’m a CeeDee Lamb hater (really a Dak hater), and more importantly a Derek hater. Andy boasts the best WR in the League and a sneaky good room behind him, while Ethan’s VERY dependent on Kupp (sensing a theme here). Mike’s got the deepest WR room in the league though.

Tight End:

  1. Darrian

  2. Andy

  3. Phil

  4. Mike

  5. Derek

  6. Ethan

  7. Brian

  8. Steven

  9. Sully

  10. Q

Darrian gets the easy TE1 here because even a hurt Kelce (once he’s back) will probably be a dawg by the end of the year. Kittle, Waller, and Andrews (if healthy) are the other potential TE1s to me so that reflects in the rankings of Andy, Mike, and I’s TE positions. Derek and Brian get credit for reliable TE1s, but I don’t think either of those guys is good enough to go without a backup. Q gets dead last on this because he drafted Kyle Pitts, and Kyle Pitts is the absolute opposite of a dawg. Shoutout to Ethan’s pick of Musgrave, probably the best backup TE on anyone’s roster unless some Taysom Hill QB/TE bullshit happens again.

Quarterback:

  1. Steven

  2. Brian

  3. Andy

  4. Ethan

  5. Sully

  6. Phil

  7. Q

  8. Mike

  9. Darrian

  10. Derek

Both of Steven’s QB picks have a great variance of outcomes, but both could have incredible fantasy seasons. Knocked myself and Sully a bit even with reliable, high potential QB picks because we’re both very reliant on those guys (no backups). Mike might’ve had the best value pick at QB with Trevor, while I have no idea how Darrian and Derek ended up with such dookie QB rooms. Ethan’s QBs are sneaky as well, while Andy and Brian wisely bet on proven guys.

Overall Ranking (avg of position group rankings):

1. Andy (3.5)

2. Mike (4.25)

3. (tie) Phil, Brian (4.5)

5. Steven (5.5)

6. (tie) Sully, Darrian (6.25)

8. Ethan (6.5)

9. Derek (6.75)

10. Q (7.0)
